Our company was founded by Mr. Ove Månsson in Gnosjö Sweden as Gnosjö Mekaniska Werkstad.

1946

Company relocated to Älmhult municipality and renamed to Älmhults Bruk. The company included a foundry and mechanical workshops with a production in a variety of areas.

1952

The GMW tractor was launched. It was manufactured throughout the 1950´s with a total production of about 400 units.

1955

First TEXO loom developed for paper machine clothing (PMC) was produced.

1983

First computer controlled paper machine clothing loom in the world.

1984

TEXO Inc. our North American company established in Greer in South Carolina USA to support the North & South American market.

2001

Texo Application AB was founded within the TEXO Group with main focus on logistic and innovative solutions.

2006

Partnership with Dexion for the Asian-Pacific region.

2007

Partnership with NEDCON for the European & North American region.

2008

TEXO Pacific established in Shanghai China to support the Asian-Pacific market.

2009

Älmhults Bruk Fastighetsbolag is founded to maintain the real estate facilities and offer buildings for rental.

2010

POWTEX established in Luan China as a joint venture to develop & produce looms for the domestic Chinese market.

2012

TEXO AB joins TEXO Application in designing and developing automated storage warehouse systems.

2016

3D Metprint AB founded to empowering growth with 3D printing of metals.

2016

Inter IKEA Group acquires TEXO Application AB. This facilitates TEXO AB to strengthen their capacity to design and develop automated storage warehouse systems world wide.

2018

TEXO updates and modernizes the logo after 29 years.

2020

Despite the pandemic, TEXO's turnover rate is at an all time high. Several digital tools were created in response to these unprecedented times which will only help continue our success in the future.

2021

TEXO expands, Building a new headquarter with an impressive area of ca 700 m2 which will be placed next to the current production site.
